Native Land and Grosvenor have completed the first of four affordable housing developments in partnership with Affinity Sutton, as part of their landmark NEO Bankside scheme on London’s South Bank.
Situated on Lorrimore Road in the London Borough of Southwark, the four five-bedroom properties will provide much needed family homes for the borough’s local community.
Alasdair Nicholls, Chief Executive of Native Land, said: “We recently toured the completed scheme with Southwark Council and they are very happy with the homes that we have provided on Lorrimore Road. The shortage of affordable family homes in London is well documented and we are pleased to be able to help address this problem.”
In April 2010, Native Land and Grosvenor acquired 4 sites in Southwark totalling 46,000 sq ft for £4 million to deliver just over 50 per cent of NEO Bankside’s off-site affordable housing requirements. Work is well underway on the remaining three sites with completion expected imminently on a number of one, two and three-bedroom apartments as well as four-bedroom houses.
