Leading London residential and mixed use developer Native Land has joined forces with Apollo Real Estate to bid for the 1acre Draycott Estate site, Chelsea, SW3. World renowned architectural practice Herzog & de Meuron have been appointed to draw up an initial scheme to support the bid. It is their first appointment for a private residential scheme in central London.
The planning brief for the site calls for a high quality, mixed use development with a primarily residential element.
The site is being marketed by CB Richard Ellis on behalf of the owner, John Lewis Properties.
Alasdair Nicholls, Chief Executive, Native Land, commented: “The Draycott Estate site is a prime site demanding the highest quality development team. Herzog & de Meuron enjoy a world class reputation. Having previously worked alongside them coordinating our Project Bankside scheme with the proposed Tate Modern extension, we are delighted that they have agreed to work with us on this bid”.
