Significant progress continues at KOVA KX, where the transformation of the Edwardian building into 70,000 sq. ft of lab-enabled workspace is underway in King’s Cross.
Following the topping out in March, works have advanced thanks to close collaboration with architects Stiff + Trevillion, alongside McLaughlin & Harvey, Heyne Tillett Steel, NDY, Third Wall London and Arcadis. Work on the exterior façade of the additional two floors is ongoing, due to be finalised in Q4 of this year, while the project completion is targeted for Q2 2027.
Situated in London’s Knowledge Quarter, the pioneering retrofit was fully pre-let last year to medical research charity LifeArc. The development sits alongside a number of leading education and research institutions, including the Francis Crick Institute, Wellcome Collection, UCL, the British Library, the Alan Turing Institute and the British Medical Association.
We look forward to seeing the project continue to take shape over the coming months.
