We are proud to share that Opus has topped out and now stands at 50-storeys, 170 metres, high above London’s South Bank. The 170-metre-tall tower is now Prime Central London’s tallest residential building.
To mark this major milestone within the Bankside Yards development, we welcomed the entire project team, partners, investors and contractors to the 41st floor of Opus, where they could enjoy speeches, traditional ceremonial activities and moreover, the exceptional panoramic views of London’s skyline and River Thames.
We’re thrilled to announce that the building’s structure has been completed ahead of schedule — a landmark achievement. This moment marks the transition into the final phase of construction, bringing us one step closer to completion, slated for early 2027.
Designed by PLP Architecture, with interiors by ODA and landscape design by Gillespies and Enea, Opus reflects Native Land’s reputation for delivering best-in-class design, sustainability and lifestyle. Its distinctive three-tower interlocking form creates 75% more corner apartments than the average building, maximising natural light and panoramic views.
Alasdair Nicholls, Chief Executive of Native Land, said:
“Opus will be prime central London’s tallest residential tower, so today’s topping out is especially significant. It marks another monumental milestone in the delivery of Bankside Yards and underscores Native Land’s commitment to shaping London’s future through exemplary urban development. To reach this stage of construction, ahead of schedule, in a market with scarce competing product, it endorses our confidence in starting on site ahead of the sector.”
Once complete, Opus will feature four dedicated floors of lifestyle and wellness amenities, with interiors designed to maximise the panoramic views across the city.
