On Thursday 7th May Native Land celebrated the opening of ANDY EARL X Bankside Yards, with an exclusive preview of the exhibition of portraits, landscapes and music photography from the acclaimed artist Andy Earl, welcoming over 200 guests to Bankside Yards.
The event was the first time the historic Victorian railway arches at Bankside Yards were opened to the public in over a century, establishing it as one of London’s newest cultural destinations. Throughout the evening guests enjoy canapés and sparkling wine while soaking up the incredible work of Any Earl.
The opening marked the beginning of a three-month free-to-attend showing of the photography exhibition. Featuring over 40 pieces of work from Andy Earl’s four-decade long career, it highlights just how many notable figures the photographer has collaborated with over the years, including Sir David Attenborough, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, Madonna, Mick Jagger and Robbie Williams.
ANDY EARL x Bankside Yards signals the first chapter of a wider cultural programme embedded within the historic fabric of Bankside Yards, as the site continues to evolve into South Bank’s newest mixed-use neighbourhood.
With the neighbourhood’s landmark residential building, Opus, set for completion in early 2027, the opening of the railway arches offers an early insight of into the public programming, cultural activity and sense of place that will shape the neighbourhood as it develops.
The exhibition is now open, running for 3 months until 8th August.
