The 2.5 acre site at 8 Albert Embankment was acquired in August 2008 from the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA).
Plans are being drawn up for a 400,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme incorporating both private residential and mixed tenure affordable housing together with 50,000 sq ft of commercial space. The listed headquarters building overlooking the river will be retained as will the existing fire drill tower and the Brigade’s memorials.
