Jointly developed by Native Land and Grosvenor, the multi-award winning development is set across four residential pavilions, and designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners with each pavilion ranging in height from 12 to 24 storeys.
The NEO Bankside development will now be put forward for the 2015 RIBA Stirling Prize which will be announced on Thursday 16 July, 2015.
Alasdair Nicholls, Chief Executive of Native Land, said:
“This highly-acclaimed award marks an important milestone for NEO Bankside, as well as our development partners. Throughout the planning, design and construction phases, the meticulous attention to detail given to this project has resulted in universal recognition of the architectural merit and sense of community that NEO Bankside provides.”
Graham Stirk, Partner, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, said:
“We are delighted that NEO Bankside has been recognised with an RIBA London Award. This was a large project dealing with a very challenging set of urban design conditions and we worked very hard with Native Land to create a bespoke and unique residential experience. We are proud of the public contribution this group of buildings make to the Bankside street scene. “
