Plans have been created to redevelop the former London Fire Brigade headquarters on Albert Embankment with an imaginative mixed-use scheme. Architects Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands have designed seven buildings for the 2.5-acre site, including 265 residential apartments, together with 10,000 sq ft of commercial space. In addition to the new public piazza with plans for
shops cafes and restaurants, the new proposal will offer residents a variety of amenities including a gym, tennis court, extensive roof gardens, a club room, bar and billiards rooms as well as concierge. The listed building has stunning views across the Thames to the Palace of Westminster.
